what has happened to the christmas goose?

Does anyone have goose for christmas anymore? I know most people have turkey or ham. I actually have a goose this year, does anyone else?

My mother in law used to serve goose, but with the family growing and dinner needing to be bigger every year, the goose just got way too expensive.

We looked this year, just to see, and a goose was going to cost about $45 and it wouldn't be big enough to feed everyone!

    Hope you enjoy yours!

I have never had goose in my life. It has always been turkey or ham. I think this is a East Coast thing maybe?

No, My family roasts a pig for Christmas, and now I can't imagine having anything else! Is goose any good? I think that nowadays turkey and chicken is easier to get a hold of for Chistmas.

Cool! I think goose is too greasy. I like prime rib for Christmas.
