I was told by my Obstetrician that one glass of wine is just fine. I was overdue and in labor but my contractions were very erratic and I wasn't progressing so she sent me home from the hospital and told me to drink a glass of wine and take a hot bath and relax (it worked). Our Aunt's Ob/gyn ok'd her having a glass of wine with dinner when she was 8 months preg. Alot of women in Europe drink a glass of red wine a day while pregnant. Enjoy the holiday!

this is while the grapes have been picked. 2005 became a reliable 3 hundred and sixty 5 days for Bordeaux wines. in case you're very prosperous you need to purchase dissimilar the extra perfect wines now, yet they gained't be waiting for transport for yet another couple of years. The wine will nevertheless be sitting interior the barrels now. interior the Burgundy area, grapes are picked on the tip of summer season and the wine is waiting and released on the 0.33 Thursday of November. Beaujolais Nouveau arriving interior the dep. shops is a sought after way of celebrating the harvest, to no longer point out a reliable advertising gadget!

  • While one occasional glass of wine with dinner may not be as dangerous, knowing how much is too much is a question no research has answered. Studies show that like smoking, alcohol has a dose-related effect. This means the more alcohol mother consumes, the more damage her baby is likely to suffer. Studies also demonstrate that both binge drinking (five or more drinks on one occasion) and regular drinking (an average of two drinks per day throughout pregnancy) definitely harms babies. (One drink means one ounce of hard alcohol, one 8-ounce glass of wine, or one 12-ounce glass of beer.) Obviously, the riskiest time to drink an alcoholic beverage is during the first trimester, compared to the risk at 36 weeks, when babies' organs are fully formed. An occasional, single glass of wine or beer in the last month is unlikely to harm your baby.

I have heard different things from different people. But it depends on your doctor. Mine said no amount of alcohol was deemed safe during pregnancy. I never drank any. I just figured why not be safe than sorry. However, I really don't think one glass of wine as far along as you are would be terrible. Probably just be prepared for some pretty dirty looks from people! I remember at New Year's one year, a pregnant lady was drinking a few glasses of wine with dinner and people were freaking out!

Ive heard that its okay to have a small amount of wine in the third trimester also. I really dont think one glass of wine on New Years would have any detrimental affects. Especially if you havent drank at all during the pregnancy.

My boss told me that with her second child, the doctor told her to go home and have a drink and relax. 2 days later, the baby was born. This was 35 years ago though. I have heard that one glass of wine is fine. Remember, people used to drink wine all the time before they knew better.

My husband and I had dinner with with a colleague and his wife. She was a pediatrician in her third trimester and had wine with dinner. But only one glass. I think they say to refrain because some people cannot stop after just one. Enjoy!!

37 weeks is awfully close to your due date.I wouldn't drink any alcohol now if I were you. What if you went in to labor early or had some other kind of complication? The alcohol could cause you and your baby to have bleeding problems.
