what is the war movie which has a sequal which is the japanese side of it. I thought it was flags of our fathers but am pretty sure i am wrong. Any one knows let me know.

yes i think so... flags of our fathers.... japanese story is letters from Iwo Jima

Yes, it is Flags of Our Fathers, and the Japanese story is Letters from Iwo Jima.
They were both directed by Clint Eastwood.
In Letters from Iwo Jima, you can see the American soldiers raising the flag [like in Flags of Our Fathers] in the background of one of the scenes.
