What are your opinions of the presidential debates tonight?

ABC hosted Republican and Democratic debates this evening. If you watched them, what were your opinions of the candidates' answers to Charlie Gibson's excellent questions?

Hillary was the clear loser in this debate. Getting angry when people take shots at you - like in politics - won't convince anyone you're more genuine but it will make it look like you're more desperate. I'd say both Obama and Edwards won just by maintaining their composures. Richardson as usual brought some humor to the party, but he doesn't stand a chance. That little speech Hillary gave on health care and her 35 years of accomplishments - and it was a speech - seemed canned and rehearsed. Again she tried to be the "Change" candidate - but she's the Establishment - and that's a corner she painted herself into and now can't get out of. All the Dems looked a bit tired, but that's understandable given that Iowa had to be a bruiser.

As for the Republicans, well that was a very good show, at least from my perspective. Romney must feel like he went ten rounds with a 400 lbs sumo wrestler. There seemed to be some clear piling on of Romney and frankly he deserves it. Got to see the same old salty McCain, slick Rudy, and too sophisticated by half Romney go for it. Very interesting. If I had to pick a winner it would be McCain.

Both the Republican and the Democratic debates were fascinating.

There were a lot of personal attacks and conflict between the Republicans. It was interesting but I think few of them are in touch with reality.

Obama stayed consistent, he didn't slip up, and he made a great point about the power of words and inspiring the people in politics. Edwards did really well too. Hilary completely lost her temper. I was very surprised and lost some respect for her. Richardson was good and funny but has no chance. All of the democratic candidates also looked extremely exhausted.

This race is very interesting and I cannot wait until the 8th.

One of the best ran debates ive seen. Charlie asked some of the hard questions. And cornered a few on some of them to get an answer or at least try.

I do not know why he didnt ask the dems about immigration and the border.

Hillary was the clear winner. It came across that Edwards had to come to Obama's defense. Making Edwards look like a school yard bully and Obama needing the backup. Hillary shown that she can stand up for herself. Edwards way too emotional. Obama definitely has a way with the words, but he did not answer most of the questions to clearly define what his changes are going to be. Voters want to be heard, but they also go and vote hoping that the candidate they vote for can do the job; which will be Hillary.

    Obama stood his ground

    Edwards stood his ground

Hillary lost her cool and sounded desparate

I would vote for any of the three but Hillary seems to be losing her ****.

That was the best telecast drama I've seen all year. Hillary reminded me of Carrie when her schoolmates dumped pig blood on her at the senior prom.
