I ran over a big branch with my PT cruiser! Would that ruin anything?
I was driving on the freeway going 85, and a big dead branch blew in the road and i ran it over with my pt cruiser ( they sit kinda low) I was just wondering if anyone on here who works on cars can tell me what COULD of been damaged or what to keep a eye out for in case it hit something? or am I just worrying for nothing? My car is brand new, and it scared me! I pulled over about a half hour later and it was jammed up under the chassy and i just pulled it out. I don't notice any leaks or anything. Am I just being crazy? THANKS SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!

does it feel like it drives any different? like the steering or any vibration in the steering wheel. it is possable that the branch hit the suspension or bent the wheels and MAYBE damaged something like the rack and pinion hoses but I couldnt tell you for sure. just to be safe you might want to get a courtesy inspection from a shop. a cheap inspection will result in a load off your mind. Good luck!

Most common things to be damaged would be the oil pan of the engine or transmission and the exhaust. If you don't notice any leaks or noises then you probably didn't do any major damage. You might have cracked or broken some plastic shielding under there but you probably won't notice it if you did.

I owned a 2002 PT Cruiser 2L 4 velocity vehicle(uk) I would desire to be common confirm you get the two the handbook equipment field(any age) or a clean 2.4L with an autobox..do no longer make the blunders I made and merely purchase a 2L vehicle,It had NO capability and alter into very jumpy..problematical paintings to maintain at velocity.. I merely offered it and did no longer street try it.!!! ..The gearbox exchange into bloody undesirable.. curiously they equipped this gearbox into the Neon..(which I owned and the engine blew up!!)The PT is in spite of the indisputable fact that an extremely extreme high quality vehicle to tension, seats pop out a huge style of area very functional..the only disadvantage for ME exchange into the TURNING CIRCLE very super..i could purchase yet another one (2.4) nevertheless....I now very own a clean 2L CVT evade high quality(uk) very extreme high quality vehicle...

If it runs fine and you don't see anything leaking on the ground more than likely everything is fine.
