What are good, healthy, kid friendly snacks?
I have a 2 year old and 4 year old. I give them cerel and yogurt for snacks. But they are getting tired of the same ol'. Any suggestions on some good snacks that kids love. I prefer low in fat, no trans fat, and high nurtrient. thanks!

I give my daughter carrots, apple slices, grapes, oranges, kiwi. She loves fruit and it makes for healthy snacks as well.

real organic peanut butter on celery, bananas drizzed with a tiny bit of honey, chop up some pears, apples, grapes and other fruits in season and make a big fruit salad that will last 3 days....kids love frozen grapes in summer because it is like mini ice pop bites, raw veggies with fat free ranch for dipping, "lite"...salt free popcorn...you can always shake some parmesan cheese on it, very yummy. If you have the kids "help" they may even be more willing to try things they never had . Good luck!

I make a apple dip for my kids with low-fat cream cheese and pieces of heath candy bars. They love that. My kids also love cheese and crackers, fruit smoothies (I let them pick the fruits they want to add). One of my daughters loves tomatoes. Another favorite is cinnamon toast.

Lightly steamed baby carrots with a ranch dip, kids love love love to dip!
Sliced apples that they can dip into yogurt (stonyfield farms organic is our favorite because it isn't reduced fat which is especially good for your two year old it has all that good fat they need for development. it has no added sugar and comes in great flavors like banilla). I will also add granola to the yogurt, mine loves the crunch surprise.
My son LOVES avocado, we slice it, he doesn't like to dip it or anything just loves avocado and it has all kinds of nutrients and good fats. IF they like more flavor and to dip try a little balsamic vinaigrette.

Hand-held foods seem to work the best for us. We cut everything up into bite size pieces. Our son loves watermelon, blueberries (antioxidents!) and cottage cheese, no salt, no butter popcorn, mini marshmellows (a special treat), Jell-O gigglers (fun to make), mini carrots, apple slices with peanut butter, and pretzel rods. Again, he just loves to hold on and eat "by himself."

Trailmix is a favorite with my crew. Also when my kids were real young they loved pickled anything. My daughter would munch pickles straight out of the jar. I used to pickle my own veggies too and my son loves pickled beans & broccoli!

Choped cucumber, grated carrotts, raisins, grapes, chopped apple, banana. Sometimes (although is more a breakfast than a snack), I chop fruit and put it in their weetabix.

well, i was going to say cereal and yogurt, lol.
but also: fresh or dried fruit, cut up veggies (my kids like raw), smoothies with fruit and yogurt, popcorn (the kind without lots of extra butter/salt), nuts (if you don't have an allergy)
also consider smaller portions of whatever you'd feed them for lunch or other meals.

Cut up some apples and maybe give them some baby carrots. Both my kids love them!
