For those who believe in an after-life...?

What type of adventure do you believe awaits when you return to heaven?

Do you think you are there just to worship and praise God? If so, do you believe we are perfect immediately following death?

Or, do you believe that God has something grand planned for us? If yes, What do you think it is?

If you don't believe in an after-life, please don't respond to this question.

I actually have no idea what awaits when I get to heaven (for the first time) but I completely trust in God that it will be more wonderful than anything I could possible imagine.

Christians believe that God creates for us a soul at the moment of conception so going to heaven will not be a return.

Heaven is eternal life with God, communion of life and love with the Trinity and all the blessed.

Heaven is the state of supreme and definitive happiness, the goal of the deepest longings of humanity.

    With love in Christ.

Coming from a channeler myself, let me say that from what i've gathered is that afterlife we get into a state of heavenly preparations for our next evolutionary process to further compliment what we have gained in this life time, i'm certain that there are HEAVENS awaiting to just fit our conscious state and energy levels, hierarchies that are true for masters or angels, are true for humans, we can't directly fit in a 220 volt God Kingdom if we ourselves are still in that 110 volt situation, that's why it takes lifetimes of soul evolution to complete the process, we have to consider that God is ENERGY as well! Shortcuts are available to those who are ready for it and Divine Intelligence always makes sure we find the right link to the very person who is in position to avail us of our needed knowledge and experience! Worshiping or praising God is not just a simple matter the way we know it in this earthly existence... And ye are gods! tells us that being in heaven is having the freedom to act on this potency, but realization is another story! Speak, act, think and live like gods and i'm pretty sure the LAW OF BEING will transpire according to your will which is his/her will fullfilled! THEN THE LAW IS FULFILLED AND SO ARE YOU! If God is everywhere then who and where are you, it's just a matter of how much are you CONNECTED!

Yes, there is life after death, but there are those who erringly believe that once you die, you cease to exist until the resurrection. This is problematic for two reasons: First, it contradicts scripture. Second, if a person dies and ceases to exist, then he is in the same state he was before he was born: non-existence. Therefore, at the resurrection, it is not he who is raised from the dead. No, instead, a copy of the original person is produced. Nevertheless, the Bible definitely tells us that there is life after death:

Luke 16:22-23, "Now it came about that the poor man died and he was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s bosom; and the rich man also died and was buried. 23 “And in Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and *saw Abraham far away, and Lazarus in his bosom."

Note, this is not a parable or a mere illustration since it contains the name of an individual, Lazarus. Besides if it were a parable, then what is it illustrating if not life after death?

John 14:1, "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also."

2 Cor. 5:8, "we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord."

Here we see that Paul is teaching that to be absent from the body (to be dead) is to be at home with the Lord. This could not be if we ceased to exist after death.

Phil. 1:21-23, "For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. 22 But if I am to live on in the flesh, this will mean fruitful labor for me; and I do not know which to choose. 23 But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better."

Rev. 14:11, "And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; and they have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”

This scripture is about the judgment of the wicked and how they will endure it forever in consciousness.

Therefore, we can clearly see that there is definitely life after death.

    2 answers, depending on what.

As a Buddhist, you're either reborn into this world (or another) and you get to do it alllll over again

If you manage to break that cycle, then a FAT "question mark" gets the response because they don't know. It's merely described as complete enlighenment, attaining Nirvana, etc.

Basically, it's like an Atheist dying and going into blackness only its bright white but not blinding. Same emptiness, just different, less negative perspective

No roads of gold, no virgins, no party's, no friends or family members, etc. Everything and nothing

My afterlife is very, very much different from your vision. After all, Heaven is not the only place for us. There are the Summerlands, there is Valhalla, there is Nirvana, there is Sheol and Paradise, and there is always Reincarnation.

From someone who has been dead, and has seen the other side twice now, take it from me that there will be a lot of peace, and a lot of time to contemplate, but not much else.

Does it really matter?? Your all going to believe what you want to believe anyway. It does not mean what you "think", "feel" or "believe" has anything to do with reality. Just look at the answers to this question; every one has their own idea of what happens. Whats the point?

I do firmly believe in the after-life.For me I believe right after you leave this place(Die)you have to review your life & when you are doing it it is only between GOD & you. After that you will HAVE to progress forward to reach PARADISE.There is VERY MUCH more to life than we see with the physical eyes. The physical dimension is a very small piece of GOD.

I believe that God is the power of knowledge that created all things and we R but children growing up in that knowledge. That our spirits R spirits of knowledge that we have grown in and our flesh is but a house that we shed each day. the children of our flesh is our new flesh that will carry our body of knowledge back into the next day and go on growing to know more. We rectreate ourselves young again and inherit our spirit of knowledge by the holy spirit that passes from one body of flesh to the next! It is heaven that we R all growing up to be, that is all knowledge full grown. Children of God grow up to be full grown like the creator of tem is! As God told Moses from the burning bush (I Am That I Am) A knowledge is that it is and all power in life comes from knowledge and al of lifes gifts come from knowing how to heal threw knowledge and as translaters R the gift of tounges that share Gods body of knowledge. And as knowledge can and does live and grow in ALL mankind. As knowledge is great in size as a God would be! And knowledge in fact is what rules all mankind, it is in fact proven it is God over mankind!

I believe in an after-life, just not your assumptions of what it will be like for me.

You might want to modify your question to "For those who believe in a Christian after-life"
