For those who believe in an after-life...?
What type of adventure do you believe awaits when you return to heaven?
Do you think you are there just to worship and praise God? If so, do you believe we are perfect immediately following death?
Or, do you believe that God has something grand planned for us? If yes, What do you think it is?
If you don't believe in an after-life, please don't respond to this question.
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDid you know that Paul was raised in the Mithra faith?
Mithra was a very common religion in Rome during Saul/Paul's life. It is very similar to the story of Jesus that we see in the Bible.
How do you think this influenced Paul?
Do you think that it played a role in the way Paul shaped Christianity?
Jesus said that many would come in his name, but how does one separate fact from fiction when the stories are almost the same?
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoFor Fundamental Christian Men...How do you feel about the U.S. having a woman president?
Does your church/religion not allow women to speak in front of a mixed group of men and women? Do you feel that a woman president would be against God's wishes?
Personally, I'm in favor of having a woman be president.
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDoes partaking of communion crucify the Son of God over and over again and puts Jesus to shame?
I ask because of the verse below. I feel that physical rituals can lead to error. I realize this verse is talking about someone who has fallen away from God, but if this puts Christ to shame, then communion and worshipping God in this manner may as well.
When partaking of communion, people are seeing and thinking upon Christ's crucifixtion over and over. They partake in this ritual to renew themselves.
Hebrews 6:6-
6 and then fell away, it is impossible to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
What are your thoughts? Do you think that a physical ritual is beneficial?
16 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow do you feel about this statement? Are you on a quest for knowledge?
The spirit of the true God is in man's heart. He intends that all men should be brothers. When men begin to feel after God, that is evidence that God has found them, and that they are in quest of knowledge about him. We live in God and God dwells in us.
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDo Christians really portray the spirit of truth regarding how salvation is obtained?
I have read and have been told that the Dead Sea Scroll gospels do not contradict the Bible.
However, upon reading the Apocalypse of Peter I don’t find this to be the case.
"But others shall change from evil words and misleading mysteries.
Some who do not understand mystery speak of things which they do not understand, but they will boast that the mystery of the truth is theirs alone.
And in haughtiness they shall grasp at pride, to envy the immortal soul which has become a pledge.”…
…"But many others, who oppose the truth and are the messengers of error, will set up their error and their law against these pure thoughts of mine, as looking out from one (perspective) thinking that good and evil are from one (source).
They do business in my word.
And they will propagate harsh fate.
The race of immortal souls will go in it in vain, until my Parousia (second coming).”…
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoFor those who believe in God.... Do you think the burden of proof is on us to prove there is a God?
Factually speaking, there is no way to prove God's existence with material evidence.
If you believe that believers should prove there is a God, why?
Would it make a difference to you personally?
17 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow does a soul come into being?
Do you not agree that it is the soul which gives life to the body?
If not, do you believe that life is just spontaneous? Your parents had sex and here you are?
Only the mind animates the body?
Where does personality come from then? That one thing that makes us each individuals...

17 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoFor those who believe in God...has anyone considered the multitude of celestial beings?
needed for such a large population in heaven?
It is my opinion that Earth humans are not the only creatures trying to attain heaven status. Have you considered how many celestial beings God needs to do this? Why or why not?
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDoesn’t everyone have faith whether they are religious, spiritual, or an atheist??
I read this comment and it just didn’t ring true to me:
“I cannot respect anyone who lives by faith, in anything, for faith is merely ignorance by another name.” Brent Y
I think it takes faith that you will wake up when you go to sleep.
I think it takes faith to believe in your children.
I think it takes faith to believe in a loved one.
I think it takes faith in yourself to attend college.
I think all humans have faith in some form.
Does this mean that all humans are ignorant because they have faith?

Is it far from where all the activity is?

5 AnswersJamaica1 decade agoIs it against God's will to unplug somebody from machines to let them die?
I have faced this problem more than once in my family. Sometimes, people are forced to make a choice about letting someone linger with the aid of machines which keep them alive. Many people have a living will which states they don't won't to be kept alive. Usually, it's the family that has to make this decision. Is it murder when people have to make this choice for a family member?
18 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoI ruffled a few feathers last night...talking about the Nephilim...?
The Nephilim are fallen angels spoken of in the OT and you can read about them in Genesis 6: 1-5. There are other places as well where they are mentioned in the Bible.
I was trying to reconcile in my mind, why the Nephilim were able to impregnate women on earth (as it's stated) with what Jesus has to say about our ethereal forms in heaven, which are suppose to be neither male nor female as the angels are.
I want to see how the day crowd feels about the Nephilim.
Here are a few links about them.
