Why do police bother arresting a 75-year old woman for not pulling forward at the McDonald's drive-thru??

This smacks of a police state and police brutality. Th grandmother was arrested, handcuffed and taken to jail because she refused to pull forward in the drive-thru lane; she thought she'd been told that her food would be delivered at the window where she was parked. How idiotic and cruel is this? Police need to re-examin their priorties!

People just have no respect anymore & that includes the police.

Maybe this lady couldn't hear too well. It's distorted sound on those drive through audios and she was clearly confused.

I had someone back into me @ a drive through & she wasn't elderly: just panicky because there was a long line & people were honking their horns.

Source(s): We all need to calm down. Elderly people of today are a generation of hard workers & deserve respect. Take the time to find out if they need help.

Can you imagine the jibes at this officer going around the locker room? And that other story about the old lady being tased in the nursing home? That poor officer must have been terrified of the old girl, waving her wrinkled bony arms in the air.

My God, what kind of fool tasers a 75 year old woman under any circumstances? I think the world has gone insane!

  • That's terrible, but what was a 75 year old woman doing 'dining' at MacDonald's anyway?

You'd think someone of that advanced age would have a lifetime's stock of fine culinary memories, and would know something about decent nutrition, so why was she buying this ghastly ersatz mush?

I can only guess that it must have something to do with wearing dentures, and only being able to eat pappy meat in a soggy bun. Or maybe the poor old gal had Alzheimer's and thought she'd actually gone to a restaurant.....only to find herself at MacDonald's instead.

She's 75 and hasn't even learned any manners? She sounds pretty disorderly to me.

Or maybe she has a mental problem and needs help.

I can't imagine the police cuffing her if they could solve the matter otherwise. She's right though, cuffing could be hard on a frail person.

I suggest that we wait for the whole story before rushing to judgment.

    Yep saw that story.

However, you must realise that the rule of law must be upheld!

McDonald's is a globalised company, any restriction on their ability to conduct business, could be devastating to the economy!

These men are doing a fine job protecting us from rogue grannies.

More 75 year old grannie stories!
