Need help with sick kitten?
Does anyone know of any websites that I can visit to help me figure out what might be wrong with my cat and what I can possibly do to help. He is almost 4 months old. Last night he started vomitting and has liquid stools. He hasn't eaten a thing today. I know the best thing to do is take him to the vet, but unfortunately my husband and I have no money at the moment.

how much does the kitten weigh? tell ya what, dont know if this will work but my vet had me do this for one of my puppies and it worked on him, It could be that he has eaten something that did not agree, try giving him 5-6 drops of pepto and wait about 20-30 min and give him several drops of water, you have to keep him hydrated, and repeat, this this is not a cure all by any means, But it will help some, it should slow the vomiting and pooping down, once the vomiting has slowed or stopped, try and give him a tiny bit of baby food, chicken or turkey, its easier on the tummy, and get a jar of real baby food, and just place a small amount on his tongue with your finger or a q-tip but please try and find a vet that will take a post dated check or take payments, he really should be seen

How long have you had the kitten? If you just recently got it, try a different food, it may have a sensitive stomach. Otherwise, it would be best to take him to the vet and get him checked out, he could have a parasite or bacterial infection, and home remedies don't really work for these issues.

Has he eaten something he should not have . Is he drinking water? If he is drinking water give him two days to work any bad food out of his system. If he is not drinking you are in trouble and see if there is a vet that will take payments,.

It sounds like he got into something he shouldn't have and whatever it was is toxic to his system. Monitor him closely. You don't want him to get dehydrated. The way to test for dehydration is to gently pinch the skin at the base of his neck, if it holds its shape and doesn't snap back, get fluids into him immediately. Water would probably be the best thing.

Contact your local SPCA. Most states have free or low cost emergency veterinary care, that most people don't know about! He really should see a vet, believe me, I understand your predicament, as does the SPCA, which is why these clinics exist.

you could ask them if they take a post dated check. My mom had to do that when my cat was sick.
Or you can ask if they have a payment plan or care credit or call a vet that does.

Take the cat out to the ground where there is lot of grass.
I will eat some grass and it will get better.
Its common when they stomach's are upset.
