Eggs are not Vegan
The problem with eating eggs, ethically, is that it is directly connected with the meat trade. Once the chickens are too old to lay, where do you think they go? (I'll give you a hint, it's not a retirement home.) And when they are replaceing the "retired" hens, they only need girl chicks, so what happens to the baby boys? Again, not a pretty picture. :(
Unless you know the chicken personally (or the chicken's owner/caretaker if you aren't that friendly with chickens themselves) it's not really safe to assume that the eggs mama was treated with any sort of respect...
It's the same with milk.

I'm pretty sure vegans don't eat eggs...I offered a girl to have one of my cookies but they contained eggs so she wouldn't touch them. It's a product from an animal as well and vegans dont eat anything that comes from animals like dairy

fun2w2, sorry, I meant to give you a thumbs up!
eggs are not vegan. They are an animal product. Vegans don't intentionally consume or use animal products (including leather, fur, honey, eggs, milk, and ivory).

If your friend is vegan, she should know that we don't eat, use, purchase, wear or otherwise consume anything of animal origin whatsoever. Not meat, dairy, eggs, honey, beeswax, silk, leather, pearls, fur, suede, wool, down, feathers, etc. Unless she's finding eggs that were laid by trees, they are certainly NOT vegan.

Any animal product is not vegan.
Vegetarians can consume eggs and dairy. Vegans, by definition, don't. If they do, they're not vegan.

Eggs are NOT vegan.
They are, however, suitable for vegetarians.
