Will I get in trouble?I need to report something?

Go now and report it - there are about a hundred reasons why - you will be in more trouble if you conceal it - they probably won't care too much about what you are up to since you are doing the responsible thing, but of course only you know exactly what you were doing at the time...Ordinary porn is very unlikely to be a concern for police or they would really have their work cut out for them wouldn't they - and also it would not be available in newsagents ..

The odds of them finding out who the child is considering the audio is in a foriegn language is probably nil, but the site might be tracable. I am torn to say dump it and destroy the harddrive, or take it to your local police. If the other adult stuff was legal then you have no worry. "Thats the key to the whole thing was what you were downloading that day legal?" If so I would say go to the police.

It's a shame the way the law will punish those trying to do the right thing. The right thing to do is report this. In NYC we have what is called, "if you see something say something" and a 311 line that will get you information or connect you to anything. I don't know where you live but any local police station can assist you with a problem. Write down the IP address, explain what happened and let them resolve it. I doubt you have to give them your name. In this case, as long as you report it and not involved in it, you should be clear. Good luck.

I would honestly say delete it, but unfortunately you can never truly delete anything off of a PC. Police will say why do you have this, what were you trying to download? what else do you have on you PC? the fact is you are possession of it, its like having a kilo of coke and you walk into a police station to "turn it in" fact is you still have a kilo of coke/.....

Scary thing is, that it has touched your hard drive, you should be fine, but when you get rid of you computer (sell it or it breaks down) i suggest you take the hard drive out and destroy it.

I would report it. That way if your computer ever gets searched and you get caught with it, the police will have on record you reported it. Police have the technology to find deleted files on your computer.

You could send an anonymous tip with a link to the vid in question via email from a library computer.

call have them come over, let them see the ip address they may be able to trace it you maybe able to help a kid out and put a jerk behind bars

You are only in trouble if you either stay with that site or go back to it. Kill it and then report it.
