How will the GOP?

unite voters behind ONE of the top 3? McCain, Ron Paul and Huckabee? It looks like we have no PURRfect candidate as usual. Bush's big mistake was not immulating Clinton and FIRING all the US Attorneys. This later returned to bite him severely from behind and he needed to frame the lacerated trousers so-to-speak so as not to forget. I would have threatened firing them all if Democrats didn't clam up and FIRED ALL saying better late than initially because they had cases going, etc.blah blah. THEN at least RESPECTED for awhile. But he had SG Argerra (?) fall on his own sword...Oh gee I'm sorry for weeding out these jerks...I must have been trying to do the right thing without any backing from my boss...

We will undoubedly think smart and GO WITH THE TOP DOG despite his "fleas". But how to make "fleas" less obvious...other 2 have their share of "fleas"...

PLEASE PUT ON YOUR THINKING CAP! or at least get witty,eh?

When push comes to shove, the GOP ALWAYS stands together. Although McCain isn't the best choice, the people will vote for him when election day comes.

Republicans have already united under McCain. Huckabee will be out after March 4. Ron Paul knows he getting free press for his Senate race.

This is McCain versus the Democrats whether it's Obama or HRC and either one of the Dem choices will be repulsive to any conservative Republican compared to McCain.

McCain pretty much has the Republican candidacy locked up. Huckabee and Paul are running such distant races that it would be a small miracle if either of them caught up. And you are wrong... Bush's biggest mistake was not listening to all the very smart people he had surrounded himself with.

I doubt that McCain would gain anything by asking Paul or Huckabee to be his running mate.... in fact they might only hinder him (Huckabee more than Paul)

Actually, it looks like the New York Times has been quite successful in uniting the GOP behind John McCain. I have not heard much positive about McCain from Rush or Sean or Mark Levin UNTIL the slime-attack article from the New York Times. Now, they are firmly behind him for a change.

    They already have.

You should be asking the opposite of this question. How are DEMOCRATS going to unite voters behind one of the two top candidates after such a divisive, bitter, and drawn out fight for the Democratic nomination?

The Republican Party will be total behind McCain, when he wins the nomination.

Eventually Fox News will declare McCain to be the next best thing since themselves and Republicans will flock to support him. United and sheep-like they stand.
