A) you cannot use cash at a house settlement if there is a pending mortgage on the house.
B) You must make a down payment via cashiers check on any mortgage settlement.
C) you have to prove where the money for the down payment came from whether it be through your account or by a letter from the person loaning you the money WITH a statement from them that it was a gift.
D) I was born at night but it was not last night.

Oh how horrible. I dont know your age but if you are over 18 sweetie you need to try your very best to get a job and go to school so you can get on your own. You have the most important thing already you have a conscience. That will take you far and try to resist any more bad things your mom tries to get you to do. This is really a sad spot for you. I am sorry I cant help more.

Well. This is a good lesson to learn. Mom is not always right. Listen to your instincts. If you knew it was wrong, then you shouldn't have done it, regardless of how pissy she got. This is how you become a man, by standing up for your convictions and for what is right. Glad that it didn't turn out worse than it did, but this is what is known as a narrow escape.
All in all, a lesson learned for next time.

Never do anything you think may be bad, I am glad to see though that you knew this was bad from the start. To calm down, you could try playing your favorite game while listening to slow to medium beat music. Or listen to something that makes you laugh since that helps release chemicals in the brain to make you "feel at ease"
I hope this helps!

Do not break the law for your mother or anyone else.
What you were trying to do is a felony.
