Is This Equality At Work?

Orange County Superior Court Judge Ronald L. Bauer just signed a settlement agreement ordering Club Med to pay National Coalition of Free Men attorney Alfred Rava of San Diego over $400,000.00 in attorneys' fees, plus other monetary sums, in settlement of a 257-member class action against Club Med for discriminating against men by giving free or reduced airfare only to women but not to men.

Update:

At this time I make no comparison between feminism and nazis, but in my mind this case could be compared to a Jew winning in a nazi court, playing by their rules. The system sucks and these cases are a violation of Owner's rights to run a biz as they see fit, but a win is a win is a win.

Its wonderful to see the Judicial system working for the American male!!!!! against discrimination.

    God Bless America!!

Source(s): Ladies night, cheaper fares for women, free drinks for women, all are sexist. You NEVER see those for men and I say, if you want sexism to end, end sexism.

Yes, but I'm shocked this was ever won. Especially in the area of airfare. I have no experience with flying myself, but I do know there's a lot of gray areas in charging airfare. Those who come along at the last minute pay more for tickets than those who get a reservation a month in advance, for example. So, I'm more than a little surprised this was won in that industry. I thought if it ever happened, it would be in bars or something else that has specific "Ladies' Nights."

Chuckles, why on earth would I fly on an airplane just becuase some women are on there? That makes no sense.

Well, why WOULD they give reduced or free airfare to women? Are they that desperate for a female market?

EDIT: And who gave me a thumbs-down? I agree with these guys.

They're a private business and they should be able to give reduced fairs to anyone they choose. Do young people sue over senior citizens' discounts? Good grief. Everyone is sue happy.

Who ever said men couldn't sue for discrimination?

geeze..think about it..we {men] exit the womb...discover our pecker years later...then embark on a blinded mission to get back in.....nature of the beast....man = chaser./...woman = chasee......these "men" who sued are as weenie brained..as the hard core fems...that fell off the throne that was bestowed upon them at birth.......just a thought....

Source(s): it's good business to draw the females...ergo... the men would follow......too damn much law in this "free" country of ours.....
