Which address do I use on my tax return?
I lived at the same address for all of 2007. I recently moved (February 2008). When I fill out my 1040 form, do I write in my old address where I lived in 2007, or do I use my new address?
I'm not sure if it matters, but I will be using E-file with direct deposit.

Use your current address and submit a Form 8822 to report your change of address.

You put in the address where you are currently living, but for form w-2 that you are filling out, you need to put in the address that the form was sent to. It doesn't matter if the refund is being direct deposited or not. The IRS will begin sending out letters regarding the rebate checks starting next week, and they need a correct address to send it to. If you are eligible for the rebate, and you had your refund direct deposited, then you can expect your rebate to be direct deposited also.

Your current address. If the IRS needs to contact you, that's where they will look first. And if for some reason your driect deposit doesn't go through, that's where they'll send your check.
