I know. She doesn't want him to publish it because she wants to make one too. He had the idea first so I say he can publish it. The woman needs to chill.

That is out of character for her. She usually praises harry potter. I think she was protecting her work from the person who tried to copy her work. As J.K. Rowling is the only one that created and thought of all of harry potter from scratch. If it wasn't for J.K. Rowling, harry potter books, movies would never exist. And this includes other harry potter products would never exist. I hope that this helps you.

Source(s): I have 5 Harry potter movies and 5 soundtracks in my collection.

She isn't being greedy. J.K Rowling sued them because the idea was something she wanted to do herself.

She didn't care about them doing it, or getting money, but since her stories are very special to her, she wanted to be the one to do it. Like how she did the fairystories from the 7th book for her friends? She wanted to do the same here.

Personally I think she could have just let them get on with it anyway. But it is her right.

harry potter is her copyright. she has the right to keep harry potter to herself... she is after all his creator. and ark never had her permission to use him . what right does he have to use harry potter even though he is a great fan of his? plus, he might change the image of the true harry potter. that is what jk rowling is trying to protect. the sueing is just a way of saying to others "hey! unless you prove yourself worthy to preserve who harry is, stay away from my boy."

It is her copyright. She has the right to enforce it. You could say the lexicon author is greedy for wanting to profit off of someone else's intellectual property. He should write his own books with his own characters.
