How much do you pay for infant childcare?
Did you sign a contract? What did it include? Can I see an online copy of it or is there a link?

I don't pay anything. I work third shift so I can stay at home with my kids. I did look into daycare though and for a 2 year old and 9 month old it was going to be $230 a week.

yeah i have no copies of anything. my daughter is now 3 and she has been in daycare for 2 years. i pay $85 for 3 days. an extra day costs me $35 and even if she goes 1 days i have to pay the full amount. if she is not there at all i have to pay half, $42.50. when she was in the 1 year old room it was $100 for 3 days, and the nursery is $140 for 3 days, which is part time. I dont know what full time is, but i accomidate mine and my husbands work schedule around 3 days because childcare is expensive. every quarter we pay $55 fee for supplies, and registration was $55 also. If i refer a child to the center then I get a free weeks, after theyve been there for 8 weeks. Which i completely take advantage of this, and Ive gotten probably 8 free weeks in the last 2 years. We are expecting again in August, and I have found a private sitter that i know and trust to watch the newborn, probably for about a year. My daughter is in a learning center, which is a little bit more structured. She knew her Abcs before she was 2. they have a link of information.

I work (on average!) 8:30am-5:30pm 5 days a week and I get $800.00 a month while school is in. When it's summer I get $1000.00. This is for a 2,4 and 6 yr old. I charge $3.25 an hour for another girl who is 9 yrs old and only comes over once in awhile. I get paid pretty good considering the area that I live in. When I get my own place and my own DayCare I will be charging differently depending on the age and hours.
Good luck!
PS No I did not sign a contract. It was verbal. Its kind of hard to sneak out anyways considering I need to work to live and plus my fiance works with the woman I work for! The boss! lol.

We are currently paying 180 at a center in a school. Its going up to 190 in the fall. We did have to sign a contract, pretty standard at centers now, it contained many things. They can change the price with a 2 week written notice, to remove our child from daycare they require a 2 week written notice, they can expel our child for anything at any time. If our child is not there for a week we still pay....blah blah blah.
They've got you by the short hairs.

I pay $120 a week for a my 18 month old. I did not have to sign a contract but I do have to give a 30 day notice if I am going to take him out the daycare. They have a long waiting list.

To be honest, my son was never in daycare. However, I did research childcare centers in our area. On average, they charged about $300 per week for full - time care.
If I had to put my infant in daycare, I would probably choose a well - researched in - home provider. They tend to cost less, and it will also be a more home - like environment.

I am a stay at home mom and babysit children from my home. I charge them $130 per week for full time. Daycare is much more expensive in my area than that. Around $250 a week for a child under 2-for the good facilities.

You can look up contracts on nannynetwork.com. They have copies online. Basically a contract should cover all the terms of employment that you want to include. It should also cover the nanny's salary and perhaps when they will be reviewed for a salary.
We found our nanny through Choose The Right Nanny (www.ctrnanny.com). They were very helpful with us each step of the way.
Good luck!

150 per week for one child (16 months old)
We did sign a basic contract, nothing other than obvious conditions... 2 week notice before we leave, they have the right to ask us to leave if he is evil :), rules and regulations about drop off and pick up, health and medical requirements, etc.
No copy or link online. We take our son to a Christian daycare in a church and they just have basic forms and no website.
