Wedding jewelery ok?
My wedding ring is rather wide, so I plan to wear my engagement ring on my right hand and my wedding band on my left after I get married. Is it uncouth to wear the engagement ring on my right hand DURING the wedding?
Thanks!

That's actually what a person traditionally does with the engagement ring, the reason being that the left ring finger can be free to accept the wedding band (so it can be worn closest to the heart) and the engagement ring can handily be put back on the finger after the ceremony (instead of having to stash it somewhere else before the ceremony and then retrieve it later). The only thing you're doing differently is not putting it on after your wedding band. No problem.
A poster asked the other day about this same issue, and it seems a lot of brides are in the same situation and plan on wearing their engagement rings on their right hands. I'm one of them. And I'm definitely wearing my ring on my right hand during the wedding itself. My ring is a sapphire, so it's my "something blue."

Not at all. My wedding band is bent to fit directly under my engagement ring, so I'm going to wear my engagement ring on my right hand during the wedding and then switch it over afterward because the wedding band looks funny by itself.

I wear my engagement ring on my right hand. Its an old family heirloom and the shape is a large oval, so it tends to overpower my wedding band when put together. My hubby doesn't have a problem with it and no one has mentioned it being weird. Its much more comfortable this way so I don't really care what people think.
