You've gotta be kidding. Just because you don't say im so proud to be an american every 5 seconds doesnt make you not proud. I think what Michelle obama meant by this was that for 7 years now we've been looked down on by the rest of the world, for good reason. When she said that she is proud for the first time was that with Obama as a possible president, and even having him running, now America is able to rise above the criticism that it has recieved, and now once again we will be able to be proud that we are the best. (we were always the best, but under the bush administration it may not have seemed so to the rest of the world)

Clinton has been around in the political limelight a lot longer than Obama's wife. Obama's wife is not running for president, by the way. When I made my choice to vote for president, I've never chosen him for who and what his wife was. If I voted for a president based on his wife's conduct, I never would have voted for Bill Clinton.
