I once ate nothing but raw fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds and lost 35 pounds in a month. Drink a lot of water. Be ready to lose fast!

Diet and exercise. Lots of vegetables and fruits, grilled chicken. Don't cut out all fats, because some fats are really good for you like peanut butter. Cardio will help you lose a lot of the fat. Running, using an elliptical machine, riding your bike. I would suggest that you do this for at least 30 minutes a day for 4 times a week. You need to take breaks, so your body can heal, and you don't get hurt. Just try to remember that you didn't put the extra 40 lbs on overnight, so you're not going to be able to lose it overnight either. Good luck!

Cut off a leg. :-p Your question asks of LOOSE weight. Isn't that the problem? 40 lbs. can't and should not be taken off quickly. Check with a doctor or nutritionist first.

but that is a little messy and dangerous.
there is no short cut to it, do aerobics and eat right, that is how you lose wieght.
i do suggest cutting out meat. a week after my fast and becoming a vegaterian i got comment suggesting that i have lost wieght.
anaerobic (wieght lifting) will actually increase your mass.

Exercise, and eat less.
Basically just eat healthy, with exercise and you should lose that weight in 5 months.

Excersize, cut out ALL fat foods!!
only eat vegatables and fruits for fast results.

eat healthy food and go jogging,swim and work out at the gym...healthy food means basically raw food not anything else
