Bush supporters only.....Why has George W. Bush been a good president?

I'd give Bush a 5.3 on a scale of 1-10.

He has done some good things and some stupid things.

I'll list the good things, that get over looked.

1. Bush has done more for the poor in Africa than any president in history.

2. Bush has done more to combat aids than any other president.

3. Bush is the first president, to ever get all the arab countries and israel to sit down at a peace conference together.

4. Bush signed a treaty with Russia, to eliminate over 80% of the two countries nuclear arsanels, to reduce nuclear warheads from 12,000 each to just 2,000 each by 2012.

5. Bush diplomancy has produced the best relations with North Korea that America has had, since the Korean War.

6, Bush was the first president to have diplomatic exchanges and talks with Iran, since 1979.

7. Bush was the president, when Israel withdrew from Palestinian lands and removed settlers for the first time EVER.

Yes, the Iraq war was a mistake, but you cannot discount the list above either.

No, I would not vote for Bush to be President again if he somehow could run.

But I wouldn't vote for Hillary or Obama either.

I can think of a couple of good actions...from a jerk President...

1) Two good originalist supremem court justices

2) The Fall of Saddam (to bad Rummy screwed up an otherwise wonderful job on the war

3) The completion and successful testing of Star Wars That Bush continued and is now in Place

4) The Tax cuts that saved me $1500 a year for the last 7 years.

5) Of all the world Bush is helping Africa with medical aid and fighting Deseases like Malaria and AIDS

No, I would not support him again save that the Dems picks always suck

The only reason why people think that George Bush is a bad presidents is because of all the things that happened durring his terms. The war on Iraq started in his first term and I would rather have George Bush than Clinton, Obama, or anyone else decided what we are doing in Iraq. If he was such a bad president why do you think he got RE-ELECTED!!! I don't care what people think of him I think he has been one of the best presidents that we have had based on the decisions he had to make. i mean would you rather decide who is coming home and who is staying in Iraq knowing that you have a death warrant on your shoulders everyday you wake up...???

His tax cuts were GREAT for the economy. An economy where we have record home ownership (and the mortgage meltdown is a farce perpetuated by the media. Less than 1/3 of 1% of homeowners are losing their homes...wouldn't call that a crisis) record low unemployment, record job growth, etc.

He took quick and decisive action when things came up. (Do not even go to Katrina...the fastest response by FEMA ever...the response time sucked, but it was not GW's fault)

He has the war on terror being fought on foreign soil rather than here.

I would only vote for GW for a third term (if legal) because he is moderately conservative, McCain is a liberal, and the dems are both borderline socialist/communist.

I have NO IDEA why the republicans do not put forth and support a true conservative. It is ridiculous.

bush will go down in history as one of greatest president we ever had! its not an easy job. alot may not believe this,,, everything he did was for the good of the country. his main concerned was the security of our great nations. i would support him again, so he can continue the great job of what he is doing now and to finish stabilizing middle east! we need an insertive person like him. we dont want to end up like israel....YA! suicide bomber almost every fuhken day! count ur blessing and enjoy ur freedom!

His appointments to the federal courts which have been brilliant

His realization that the west is at war with traditional Islam

His compassionate program of spending in Africa for AIDS victims

His brilliant success in defending the US after 9/11

Sorry, the questioner cannot limit who answers their question, so here I am. He has been one of the worst Presidents this country has ever endured. If he was able to run again he wouldn't even try it. He'd lose so badly he'd never get over the embarrassment. He knows it, the Republican Party knows it, and 70% of this country that disapproves of him knows it as well.

He has ended two countries nuclear programs (N.Korea and Iran) without firing a shot. He has flushed terrorism out into the open. He can't run for a third term, so don't worry.

Well he isnt a bad president, Im not really a supported but i can say that he isnt a bad president its just every one blames that leader if things are going bad. But the iraq war was his idea, even though he is using al queda to cover for the war.
