Why do you bad mouth a real war hero?

If you do not like McCain for any reason, just don't vote for him. Just remember he suffered many years or torture instead of abandonding his fellow POWs, he could have come home. That takes fortitude and exhibits character. What have the other 2 possible Presidential candidates done that demonstrates fortitude, character, leadership or courage? Please just give me a single example.

Update:

Thousands of GIs got Purple Hearts, Kerry did nothing heroic except get a couple of scratches, how does that compare to what McCain endured? I am still looking of an example of something heroic, couragious, or am example of anything that compares to McCains service to our country. All GIs or vets were not heros, but they did serve.

It's simple for people to slam someone if they've never walked in their shoes...how many of these feeble minded people that slam McCain would run to Canada to get out of going to war or hide in college, the way Bill Clinton did, to avoid going. You want to disagree with McCains political views, more power to you but if all you want to do is belittle him go live in China where they dont enjoy the freedoms we have in this country because of our vets!

I praise McCain for being a war hero. I can't think of any thing Obama or Hillary have done that demonstrates fortitude, character, leadership or courage. I do, however recall Obama not puting his hand over his heart during the national anthom (got to wonder what that means), and Hillary has been in multiple scandals (tells you what kind of person she is).

Umm....nobody is bad mouthing McCain. But if they were to, it's their right. Just as everyone has a right to talk about Obama and Clinton. It would be different if McCain wasn't running for office. But, because he is, he is fair game. If people aren't going to abide by political correctness guide lines concerning race and gender, why should they give him a pass? You don't see a renowned drummer jumping into the ring with singers and demanding that people clap for him when he sucks. If McCain wanted to live his life as a war hero, his career should have ended with him being a war hero. Now, if he wanted to be a teacher or in some other business, that's cool because they wouldn't typically draw criticisms that politicians do.

courage = standing up to a war when it wasn't popular. character = not cashing in with his harvard law degree and making hardly any money as a community organizer. fortitude = coming back from a huge deficit in the democratic primary process without going negative. leadership = just wait till he's our president :). here's a question for mccain supporters: name one example where this bottom of his class c student has shown intelligence?

To panama, he willingly entered the military during Vietnam. He was subjected to torture and refused release until his men could be released. He didn't complain about his time served, just the fact that he doesn't believe in torture. He returned and still decided to help his country as a member of Congress. Anyone who enters the military is a hero. McCain '08- We don't need a coward like Obama or the wife of a coward like Hillary running a nation of heros.

I don't bad mouth McC. He feels we should remain at war in the middle east for the next 100 years---- I disagree.

It's that simple. I honor his sacrifice, his courage, and I d*(+_U sure wish you Republicans would have elected him instead of Bush in 2000.

I don't think anyone should badmouth his war record. But if he does something bad or has a bad plan for this country he doesn't get immunity from criticism because he fought in the war.

You mean the way the Republicans bad mouthed John Kerry?

I won't bad-mouth him.I respect that he thought that he was `fighting' for his country in that `conflict' that never should have been fought. I won't vote for him because I think he is another

    Bush and a war-monger.
