Perfectly normal. I used to have a cat who would play ping-pong. He would get up on the ping-pong table and crouch next to the net and jump up and try to bat the ball with his front paws when we hit it over the net. When the ball fell to the floor, he would jump down, chase it, and "fetch" it back to us. He could not get his mouth around the ball, so he would roll it right to us with his paws, placing it right at our feet, then he would jump back up on the table and take up his position.
As for the blanket sucking, is he a very young cat, who was weaned too early? If so, he will outgrow it. If not, have the vet check his teeth - he could be trying to deal with a tooth-ache. If the behavior persists, get him some small chew toys, or a little blanket of his own.

A friends cat did the sucking, drooling & excessive kneading business. We guessed it had been weaned to soon.
My oldest & smartest cat used to fetch all the time. She could go for an hour at a time. One time we were laughing because she was right by her favorite toy spider & couldn't see it when I threw it on a sweatshirt. When she found it she walked over to my cup of water & dropped her favorite fetching toy spider right in.Then I made the mistake of getting her a (holy terror) kitten as a companion. She quit playing much after that & I really miss that part of her charming personality. Enjoy your fetching responsibility.

Growing up, I had a cat that liked to play fetch all the time, but my current cats do not do it.
The suckling is like a human sucking their thumb. It's cute, and perfectly normal.

Perfectly normal!
Our newer cat loves chewing on our clothes after we shed them to get into the shower. I'm not sure if it's because it smells like us and he loves our smell or what, but he does it.
He also likes to try to play fetch sometimes.
No worries!!
