While it may seem to be beyond the realm ..... It should be a wake up call for people to READ their employer paid health coverage.

Walmart is recouping what they paid out to this woman at the time of her accident - from the trucking company that caused her injuries. While many will see this as just more reason to avoid or bash Walmart - it should wake people up to the facts that health care costs are sky rocketing and without employers being willing to pay the upfront costs and wait for a settlement many people would suffer or die .

The fact is that the a federal judge agreed with Walmart and then the appeals court agreed with Walmart - they proved they paid the bills and want reimbursed for the expense.

Source(s): Sorry but the facts are on Walmart's side - not sensitive but factual

That was an extremely sad story, I was almost in tears by the end of it. Just another example of how horrible Wal-Mart is and how poorly they treat their employees. I stopped giving them my money a long time ago and stories like these only make me more determined not to shop there.

I did not see what happened but I can say that the women should be sued only if she tryed to scam the wal-mart.

this story is soo sad! I feel this family has suffered a terrible lost!! Alot of people sign their life away when signing papers without reading that fine little print. My advise have a lawyer read anything before signing. You usually dont hear of terrible stories like this one until it happens, but beware you've probably sign many of papers without reading everything thats printed.
