I've been reading all the comments about problems the UK's having with immigrants, cant the Queen do anything?

You have to look a bit deeper and beyond the spin and the mainstream media. Nothing is as it seems. The Prime Minister is not really answerable to the Queen. The reason the immigrants get hand outs is because the government need them. Due to the great levels of decreased babies being born and an increase in the elderly who are about to retire. The government is worried that they do not have enough native people to pay tax which subsidise the pension payouts. The government is lowering the borders and destroying sovereignty, but you won’t hear that in the mainstream media. Are you aware that in the US they are lowering the boarders and encouraging immigrants in to America while spinning through the media about how much time and money there utilising on controlling the borders. Are you also aware that Bush, Mexico President and the Canadian president have already signed a treaty that amalgamates the three countries as one, making it one state. It is called 'The North American Union'. Now if you have not heard about it, you have to ask yourself why not? Most Americans are unaware of this agreement. But then the Government rely on people being apathetic and too glued to mainstream media to their own research. Now here is the main reason for lowering the borders.....It’s too destroy nationalism, togetherness. Divide and conker that is there aim, people will not rise up against the inevitable tyranny to come because there will be no unity, no togetherness people will be afraid and suspicious of each other. The North American Union will have everyone under one control, until they have the world under one police state. To morrow the I.D. card, next the thumb print, then the eye scan and eventually their ultimate plan (fact) to microchip us all like a dog!

The problem is there is very little difference made in media reports between legal EU economic migration (that usually benefits the UK) and illegal immigration from outside Europe, which is a huge drain on the system.

Unlike in America where many such migrants speak a common language (Spanish), many small cities here now have several hundred languages in use: costing millions in translation costs and legal help.

Media and public opposition to immigration usually centres on an unwillingness to learn English and to integrate with or contribute to British society amongst some (often Muslim) ethnic groups.

Sadly the Queen is Head of State, not Head of the Government. In the interests of Democracy, the Royals are divorced from any real, practical power.

Which is a shame as the useless corrupt, inept and pointless excuse we have for a "Government" at present are making a total mockery of this country, throwing taxpayers' money away, flooding us with immigrants and rewarding any lazy scumbag who wants to scrounge from the State, whilst taxing and penalising the hard working man to pay for this.

I wish the Queen could kick the politicians' backside out of power. I honestly feel like she'd do a better job of running the country than they do. Unike them, she cares for the British people.

And contrary to what some of the idiots above have posted, the Queen is NOT "German". She has some German ancestry dating WAY back (over 200 years) but she is British.

Unfortunately our Queen is only a symbol for our country she is head of state but doesnt have any power as such.The weekly meeting is a briefing to explain what is going on in parliment and the Queen may indeed offer advise or critisism of a particular situation but The Prime Minister acts solely with his government and doesnt have to follow what she says.

I would never ever give up what i have in Britain and move to the ugly USA. In fact i would rather live in India than live in the USA to be honest. You are partially wrong, I dont think the Brits have a problem with Canadians, New Zealanders and Australians in general as they are part of the family and and are more well informed and we share much more in common and there fore get along very well. On the other hand we see the US as a rebellious and distant relative and its Americans in general when they come here are just unprepared, humourless, ignorant and lazy bums who dont know how to be social and expect everything their own way. A bunch of dull waste of spaces. Anti Americanism exists in EVERY country in the world and thats just the way things go. Your just unlucky you were born there.

What you won't read in the English right wing press is that without our immigrants, there would be no-one to pick vegetables, clean floors, drive taxis, work in factories and do all the other jobs that the English are too lazy to do.

Worst of all, there would be nowhere near enough doctors and nurses to run the NHS.

People always blame immigrants and minorities for societies problems. Its a tactic that Hitler used to good effect.

And this to will be coming to the USA if we citizens do not wake up to the fact that illegals are a burden on everything. You can see the same things happening today, that happened in England. All the Political Correctness crap, listening to the several groups, our politicians do not seem to working for us, the actual legal citizens of this country. WAKE UP

Hi Curtis!Just read your Q.The Queen can't actually DO anything ,she's a figurehead only and cannot directly inform or enforce any kind of influence on the House of Parliament ,the House of Lords or the Prime Minister.In fact, its one of the terms of the job,you could say.She only gets to keep being the Queen if she shuts up,sits down and signs whats put before her,otherwise,she's out of a job and has to start being Mrs Battenberg (Anglisized as 'Mount'...(Berg) 'Batten',a rich German Hausfrau with a Greek boyfriend.Sad.

The Queen is visiting her husband in hospital at the moment, so is unavailable to anything important like immigration or the Crown Jewels, please direct any questions to Prime Minister Gordon (Bennett) Brown who will ignore all requests however important.

The Queen is head of state. Not head of government. She probably has 10 times the sense of most of our politicians, but what can she do. This government listen to noone anyway. They represent their own interests.
