You seem to be pretty "less informed" yourself. There are 3 possibilities: 1. God created the universe; 2. The universe was created by some undiscovered force. 3. The universe created itself. Which sounds more logical to you?

Lets analyse 2. first--Why haven't we discovered it yet? Some say that 2 parallel universes collided to form our universe. Where did they come from? Also, this violates a mathematical axiom: parallel lines or planes have no intersection points. If they "come together" then they are not parallel. If you choose 2. all you do is spawn question after question with no observed scientific basis to help you along. 2. is unlikely in the extreme!

Let's analyse 3. The universe created itself. This violates the Law of Cause and Effect. Also, the 2nd Law of thermodynamics is violated, in that energy is created spontaneously. 3. is preposterous.

Let's analyse 1. For us humans time is a unidirectional straight line. Indeed, for us time only goes forward into the future. For God or the creator time is a plane. Imagine a Cartesian plane with x-y coordinates. For our time line we begin at the origin (Big Bang) and go along the horizontal axis in the positive direction. (towards the future) For God time is not a line like it is for us time is the plane, which is infintely long and wide. God does not begin at the origin he is the plane. Therefore, he has no beginning, no end, and was not created. Sound familiar?Since God is the First Cause the Law of Cause and Effect is satisfied. Since God is outside time and space as we know it he could have used energy outside our universe to create it. Some have described God as spiritual energy, if that is the case then the 2nd Law of thermodynamics would be satisfied. Others make the ascertation that, since God created the universe he also created the Laws that govern this universe.

Religion like man himself is flawed. Science like man is flawed. However, the more we discover the more we realise that a universal creator makes the most logical sense. Plato's Aristotle says, "Follow the evidence where ever it leads". God doesn't ask you to follow religion, man does. All God wants is to love and be loved by you. Hence the aphorism, "God is Love". Open your mind to the possibility of this and you may learn something. "There is a principle which is a bar to all information, which is proof against all arguments, and which cannot fail to keep a man (or woman) in everlasting ignorance--that principle is contempt prior to investigation"--Herbert Spencer.

I say, "you have an awkward definition for many common words." Have you considered studying the definition of "explain?

Who are these less informed people? Do you honestly believe any literate human in a developed or developing nation has not heard anything whatsoever about Christianity or Jesus?

Religion particularly explains things concerning appreciations, attitudes, behaviours and our effort to desire, will, force events in the future. Christianity explains that God works ALL things according to the counsel of His will - even our own wills - whether to do good or evil - seek light and truth or hide in ignorance and doubt and darkness...

As well as Religion-Sociology there is:

    Mathematics-Futurology

    History-Physics

    Art-Technology

    Language

    Music

    Travel

    ...for less informed people.

Hinduism also has the notion that whatever path a being needs to move up spiritually is provided; and as some beings are hopelessly simple, some very simple paths abound.

I'm not going to risk it by saying which paths are the simple ones, I'm already close to being kicked off here.

I would want to know why, based on that, any other part of the Bible is true.

    Same as the evolutionists, btw.

    What will you tell them?

And what if I told you that mankind has always considered itself more informed?

    Source(s): I'm teasing you.

I would feel more comfortable if you specified Christ, since religion can mean any faith in anything

in general religion is mans attempt to get to God

it's usually sorta weak and powerless, fake

but Christ is the way the truth and the life, the source of everything, and he holds it all together

he is truth itself, life itself and my great reward

    God bless
