"Wild World" by Cat Stevens?

Question

My dad has recently told me that he would really like for him and I to dance to "Wild World" by Cat Stevens for our father-daughter dance at my wedding.  I really love that song and he told me that he always pictured us dancing to it on my wedding day. It seems like such a good choice for us since we both enjoy it. I could see us slow dancing a bit to it and then start grooving and stuff to the parts where the beat picks up a bit, so it could be a little fun as opposed to us slow dancing the entire time and being boring for everyone else.

The only thing is that it is a little obvious at some parts that it is about a guy singing to an ex-girlfriend. I don't really care about that, but do you think it is a little strange?

As someone has suggested above, how about "Oh Very Young" instead? an extremely beautiful song by Cat Stevens which perfectly fits in.

Wild World is a great song. I love Cat Stevens. However, if you really look at the lyrics (not just the chorus) and their meaning, it's not appropriate.

No, it is not strange...it is lovely.  You are lucky to have your father at your wedding, and for him to have dreamed of dancing with you at the wedding.  I'd trade places with you in a second, for my father had to watch my wedding from his place in Heaven.  

It doesn't matter what other people think...that day is for you and your spouse and both sets of parents to bond and celebrate...those who love you will surround and celebrate you...why would they think anything but positive, good thoughts?  As for anyone else, WHO CARES what they think?
