It's possible to use Form 4852 http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4852.pdf in lieu of your W-2 but you must mail your return in. You must call the IRS first and file a missing W-2 complaint first, before you can use this form. Be prepared to wait quite a while for your refund while the IRS attempts to verify the numbers -- possibly as late as Thanksgiving or even Christmas time!

A better bet would be to file a Form 4868 extension request (postmarked by midnight on the 15th!) and contact your employer to get a duplicate copy. If you think that you might owe any tax, enclose your check with the Form 4868 to avoid penalties and interest for late payment of tax.

  • WELL IT ALL depends if your job was only income then the answer may be yes b/c that's how i did my brothers return he did not want to wait on w-2 and his was accepted so if your return is quite simple yes y can use last stub of 2007 but if it is complicated i do not recommend u doing so.try to get a extension with the irs.

You have to have your W-2. For some people the info might all be there, but your last paystub won't necessarily give you the right numbers. See if you can get a duplicate from your employer. You can file form 4868 for an extension.

you can file your taxes online without your w2 form if you have your last paycheck and all the information from your taxes withheld. as long as all information matches there will be no problems with your return.

Line 7 wages do not tournament up, low wages, great refund. not something via itself is worrisome. positioned those all jointly and you have the suited stew for the IRS to look at your return and ask your self "why?" risk is powerful you are able to need a huge gamble to describe all of it to a revenues agent. prepare for audit, quite in case you acquire a huge earned earnings credit.
