Can someone please tell me why Thabo Mbeki is so bravely standing up for that dictator Robert Mugabe?

Could he be getting his palm greased in someway or does Mugabe know something about him that no one else does.

I'm afraid that effeminate little fruitcake Mugabe can do whatever he likes; because he's a member of the 'right' tribe !

Most African leaders are bigoted racists, that's why the continent's f***ed

He admires me greatly because I have thrown all the whiteys out and confiscated their farms, companies and belongings. What do you think Mbeki and Zuma want to do the moment Madiba is no longer there to hold them in check? It has already started, and is called AA and BEE. The South Africa which they are planning will look very much like Zimbabwe. Remember what they used to say in the nineteen-eighties about Zimbabwe? They are saying the same now about SA. I do not have a hold over Mbeki, far from it - he is my follower, that is all.

I think its to do with old school politics - his father Govan Mbeki was a contemporary of Mad Bob's, and the old african loyalty and respect for elders as well as Bob's support for the ANC in the old days is a swaying factor. It's bad now, but wait till the new guy who has been on trial for raping an HIV positive woman (it's ok though, he took a shower after the sex, so can't have aids..) gets in power..

He can't go against a fellow "freedom fighter" as that would be as if he goes against himself. They are two peas in a pod, and he's afraid to have the pod be called a bad thing by distancing himself from the other (rotten) pea.
