I cannot get prt sc to work on my pc. In XP it's easy but in Vista home just nothing.

I've tried so many combinations and nothing works i.e. pressing fn+prt sc and alt+prt sc and ctrl+prt sc. I tried pasting in notepad wordpad excel and word but nothing. help please

I have a bt 205 rouer but want to go wireless so got a belkin F5D7630 router. I have powered on and have the SYN and WLAN lights on. The data light is not on nor flashing. I also have a Lan light on proving that my laptop is connected. when I type in the 192.168.2.1 in the browser bar and hit enter, I am told the address in not valid. I cannot continue in any way. What is my problem and could it be my ethernet cable is no good. Help please as I am thicker than thick. thanks in advance
