Mercury villager crapped out on 495 beltway. Started, ran 5 miles, stopped, etc.etc.?

-fuel pump has slightly higher pitch than its ever had.
-fuel pump ohm reading recommended 160 ohms, actual reading about 10 ohms.
Update:
it looks like i might put a fuel pump in the tank. I will also add the new fuel filter. I put a fuel filter on often, probably twice a year.

check your fuel filter. if it gets clogged those things will happen.
