Skipping Senior Prom?
I'm purposely skipping senior prom due to extenuating circumstances. I know I'll come to regret this, but at current theres absolutely nothing I can do about it. Its been lingering on my mind though, because I've always placed alot of importance prom... and to skip it, however silly, seems like I'll be missing an integral part of my life. So please, assuage my anxiety and tell me, does prom really matter? Is it ok if I don't go...? Thanks

Prom is but a small event, of the hundreds of big events that you will have in your life, and trust me, when you get older you may look back and say "Prom, eh, no big deal"
What you should think about is you will have memories of all of your high school years, so what is one event? Trust me, your life ahead has so many more big events, don't beat yourself up on this one. On a side note, I had way more fun at my junior prom then my senior prom and that is the one I remember

It's one night. I didn't go to my prom and it didn't and doesn't bother me one bit. There are going to be too many other truly important things in your life to waste time worrying about skipping your prom.

firstly, what's stopping you going to prom?
secondly, go to it because events like this become increasingly limited when you're older.
