McCain will be the RNC's nominee, it's just not 'official' until they hold their Convention in early September.

Nothing is set in stone until the delegates vote at the convention. I mean if McCain is photographed golfing with Satan. Or he may be unable (dead, incapacitated) to be the nominee at the time of the convention.

In either case, the delegates will pick a new nominee to represent their party.

Ron Paul is technically still running. But he is nowhere close to McCain; and McCain already has enough pledged delegates to clinch the nomination and ensure he is the Republican nominee.

He doesn't become the official nominee until the delegates vote on it at the convention. That's why he is referred to as the "presumptive" nominee.

I believe this is who you're asking about.

Until they declared MCain the winner, Ron Paul was a lot more popular than any of the candidates, especially McCain.

Ron Paul would be the best President!

Because we haven't had the convention to confirm him yet.

Ron Paul. He's isn't a globalist dweeb, so he has no chance.
