walking down the aisle song?
My fiancé and I will be getting married March of 2009, and I am having a little bit of trouble finding a song to walk down the aisle to. I don’t want to use the traditional song. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm leaning towards using Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol. Definitely nonp-traditional. Something that may help you find a non-traditional song to use is to make a list of some of your favorite songs... preferably ones that having meaning to both of you or make you think of him.. then go to youtube and search for videos of people playing acoustic or piano versions... so you can get an idea of how it would sound if someone is playing it live at the ceremony. (that's assuming you would want to use a version without the words or aren't going to be playing it over a sound system.)

We are getting married in September this year and we actually went with a harpist to play at the wedding and we picked Cannon in D,it beautiful especially on the harp. And it different but yet still appropriate and will make everyone at the wedding wanna cry..lol another good one is from the movie Romeo and Juliet (with claire danes and Leoardo Dicaprio) and I cant think of the name but a musician will know it because it popular and beautiful. I think it is by Bach but I'm not sure..

My fiance played 'If I Fell' by the Beatles for me when we were just still dating, then when he officially proposed to me, it happened by chance to be playing on the radio, so now that we are getting married we decided to use an instrumental version of the song slowed down just a beat, and then the regular vocal version to walk back out to. I think you can take a song that has meaning to you, and find it in an instrumental version, and it will be very personal and meaningful to you both.

I walked down to Cannon in D. I think is a beautiful song to walk down to. My husband says he still gets a little emotional whenever he hears that song played somewhere.

I wan to use 'from this moment' by shania twain or "lost in this moment' by Big and Rich. It will just depend on whether or not the church we're getting married at will allow us to use them. If they won't let us, then I wat to use a pretty classial song that I like that is not 'here comes the bride'.
