it happened when I committed my soul to Jesus and confessed my sins and weaknesses. Since then (06/19/99) my life has changed significantly. My job has turned into a career, I have found lasting love (within the first six months), I have found the desire to quit the recreational as well as pain management drugs I was taking and am now clean for the first time in 20 years.

That took longer but it was only because I could now see a direction for my life, that I was able to steer toward it.

Its not missionary work but I am living by the Golden Rule and thats all that has changed. Some may argue that its not enough but it is a start.

Doing unto others is more than just NOT doing things you don't want others to do TO YOU.

It is about actively doing nice and helpful things for no other reason than that you think you would like it ither people did them for you. Its not about reciprocity, or banking good will (although they often result).

Its about how it makes them feel and not how it makes you feel to see them appreciate it. Sometimes they dont show appreciation. Maybe they are proud or even suspicious of your motives. but thats ok. You do it because you know its right.

As a Christian, I believe salvation for mankind began with the death and Resurrection of Jesus.

Sorry, don't know how to support a personal opinion. The question was "When do you think your Salvation happened?"

    This is my answer.

It hasn't yet. My calling has happened, but salvation isn't until the end.

Matthew 24:13 -- But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

Those who don't endure to the end, even though they have God's calling and spirit, will not be saved.

For me, there are a lot of those that have made variations in my existence. My superb chum who has a Y! A account lives around the globe has a great strategies-set and that i like that approximately her ;-) additionally, I asked a question approximately what human beings theory the features that a "appropriate" individual might desire to have, and yellowstonedogs gave me one in all maximum touching solutions ever. that is staggering how those which you have never met and could never comprehend develop into one in all your splendid components of concept.

Like your 3rd answerer I knew I was lost and told God I was a sinner and asked his mercy and forgiveness. I realized that sin offended me more and I was afraid of how I treated others because I realized God loved them whether or not they knew it.

I gave up on a friend who was struggling with a drug abuse problem and told him I did not want to see him again, walking away I suddenly felt that God must have been really frustrated with me and never gave up on me so I turned back to my friend. It all worked out for him eventually and he died saved.

I do not think i KNOW that i got saved when i was around 8-10 years old...i cant really remember but you get this feeling that you know you are going to Hell and cant do anything by yourself...then you just pray and ask Jesus into your heart...thats what happened and you get this huge feeling of relief

'Repent every one of you, be baptized in Jesus Name and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost'!

I think you have obtained salvation when this is full filled. I don't believe you can just 'say' you believe in Jesus and that's all. Jesus Himself said 'you must be baptized in water and fire'(Holy Ghost)

'Without which no man shall see God'

When I read the bible again with a clear head and realised that, with the cloud of mysticism lifted, it's just a load of old bollocks with a crappy through-line.
