Will $30 buy your Presidential vote?

John McCain and Hillary Clinton are fighting for us. They propose a gas tax summer vacation, which is going to save us about $30. Will you vote for either of them now that you see how much they care about you and I ? Is this going to solve our dependence on oil? And do you care about the effects of not collecting the tax for the summer? (300,000 less jobs and no fixes for crumbling roads. ) Thanks for your input.

Update:

Economists say this is a bad idea. They claim that the demand for gas will go up and the oil companies will charge more. Consumers will not see the savings. Read more - http://www.newser.com/story/26235.html

Update 2:

And by the way, this idea was John McCain's so if you are a Clinton supporter, you may want to switch your vote to the one who actually had the idea first, not the one who is using it as a cheap trick to buy your vote.

No! I will vote for the candidate who will address the real challenges we are facing.

I will vote for the candidate who will address our dependence on foreign oil with higher fuel efficiency standards and investment in alternative energy technology.

I will vote for the candidate who is trusted by his colleagues and is endorsed by more senators, governors and elected representatives.

I will vote for the candidate who worked for those of us out of work and out of hope when he graduated from Harvard Law School.

I will vote for the candidate helped author and pass groundbreaking lobbying and ethics reform in the Illinois and US Senate.

I will vote for the candidate who worked across the isle to pass his most significant legislation - the Coburn-Obama Transparency in Government Act and the Lugar-Obama Nuclear Non-proliferation Act.

    I will vote for Obama.

    Yes we can! Obama 2008!

I was planning on voting for one or the other of those two long before the gas tax vacation was proposed. And, no. It is not intended to solve our dependence on oil. It is a respite; that is all it is. Surely no one is so dim as to believe it will solve our problems with oil? As far as the minor amount detoured from the repair of roads, etc......what a joke that is. That fund has been raided for so many years for so many programs that what little bit goes back to the taxpayers will be of no consequence. That's why the roads are in bad shape now. 300,000 less jobs? Bull.

I agree with a tax cut.

It will not solve our dependency on oil. This is a "now" temporary solution that people will actually see - rather than big claims to reduce oil dependency that politicians have been promising for years. All candidates have long term oil solutions as well.

$30 is better than nothing. And it will be a lot more if you are in the transportation industry, farming industry or drive long distances. It will also depend on type of vehicle.

The tax revenue can be covered by reducing wasteful spending or through oil industry taxation.

in case you want to discuss paying for votes. maximum folk of black electorate do not even recognize what state Obama is from. All they recognize is he's black and they have a loose experience to the vote casting revenues area and a loose party when they vote.

No, the cost of a vote has been pre-established at $300, only they call it a tax rebate instead of a bribe so its legal. Since old GW can't run this time I guess he's bribing us for McCain.

No one cares about the economy. People only care about the remarks of a crazy black minister and whether if Obama is elected president will he stop the federal goverment from giving black people AIDS. Stupid huh?. While American's keeps losing wealth to China and jobs to India and Mexico Rev. Wright will be chilling in his mansion.

No, My vote is not for sale. Also $30.00 won't even give me a half tank of gas. I have a better idea why not stop the price of gas from rising.
