What are your playoff superstitions?

Playoff beards!!!

I am only 16, but goddamn, can I grow a beard! Ha-ha. If I don't shave for maybe about 1 week or so, I can look like the Marty Turco pic I gave you. Ha-ha (Which you didnt use for your blog. Grrrr....lol...okay, maybe not THAT much, but I can grow a hefty amount of facial hair if I want to in that period of time.)

My avatar is clean shaven, because I don't have any facial hair at the moment. I have been shaving, something which most hockey players still playing right now shouldn't be doing. lol

Well to watch most of the playoff games, I go over to my neighbors house (HUGE screen tele and an entire hockey-basement, always fun with a lot of people), and he always has his dog in the room when the games on and drinks a Heineken during the second period... Too bad hes a Habs fan, so I guess it doesnt work for him

Personally, I don't have any.

I've grown playoff beards, go to the same beer store, and if I call to have a pizza delivered, it's got to be the same place, toppings, and I'll even request the same driver.

My worst habit...back when I used to smoke, the only time during a game I'd light up was if the Leafs were on a power play (this started in '93...I fired one up and they scored...they had another power play, they gave up a shorthanded goal, and the guy in the bar next to me totally berated me "hey pal...ya gotta light one up when they're on the powerplay...you're killing me!"

So anyone who owned Phillip Morris stock in the 1990's who saw a surge of profits in April/May...you're welcome.

I briefly flirted with lighting up in the 2002 run...

i have several things that have to happen:

1. no internet during the game.

2. i must be within reaching distance of my lucky holmstrom grey shirt. otherwise... well nevermind otherwise lol

3. several playoff beers are required. without at least one beer... woah. not good.

4. the playoff beard (my 2 super cheesey red wings bracelets) must never be worn with my jersey unless at the joe. **this i am most strict on**

and finally...

5. if we're down after 2 i have to do 30 crunches. it psychs me up! *not to mention it burns off the beer and maintains my lovely form lol!*

2,3 and 4 are strictly playoffs. 1 & 5 are regular season things that carry over. i wish i could shake these stupid rituals but i cant..

I had a playoff beard for the Habs, that lasted about 3 weeks. Took half an hr to shave it off after we got KO'd last Saturday.

Not going to game because so far I am 0-3 at all the playoff games I have gone to

well anytime my favorite team makes it to the postseason I grow out the old fashion playoff beard. didn't happen this year, however.

anytime my hockey team, or any other team i'm on, makes the playoffs I grow it out again. my tennis team is the toilet bowl for our area's division (we're 0-8). I figured I'd give the playoff beard its due.

I might buy the same beer and eat the same food the night my team is playing and they are winning

if losing I've tried countless things but since I root for mostly root for underdogs nothing as ever work

same as regular season, I wear a white Stu Barnes road jersey, and for home games my black mike modano jersey. Stars fan in you couldnt figure it out
