Is Howard Dean right?? Can the Democrats unite over their chosen "one"?

I for one will be registering independent from now on........

Update:

I agree Debra..the Democrats made a terrible mistake running two minoritiy candidates at the same time, it is coming back to bite them and the American people in the a**. What a shame for both candidates too.

my current plan mirrors yours.....i have never seen a more disorganized and un-democratic display as the democratic primary season this time around. the worst was the "super"delegates this week who suddenly decided not to wait, but to declare or switch & jump on the Obama band wagon - before/possibly trying to influence the votes in the remaining primary states. The mess w/ the FL & MI primaries is ridiculous too....is it any wonder the dems in those states didn't want to wait to hold their primaries.....I mean if you listen to the majority of dems & their media pundits/icons - the primary is over!!!! Revolting - I'm going back to being an Indepent.......

Whites votes for Obama before Wright-gate, so most of the votes he got was before Wright-gate. (Now they want their vote to be taken out).

If Obama loose , probably the people who is angry is the die-hard Black who doesn't know that the Muslim Obama JUST using their race.

If Hillary win, most of Democrat (incl. Blacks who remember the good things Clintons has done to them) will vote for her.

Conclusion: Hillary has better chance to win against McCain.

If super-delegates or convention let Obama win, it is a commited suicide for Democrat party.

Good for you! That shows you have your own mind! I have little doubt that you will 'check' the credentials of the candidates and not be swayed by Party lines. These are serious times - we need experience in the White House. No, I don't think the Democrats will unite after they choose Obama - why should they?

By registering Independent, your vote loses all its power in either of the major two parties. You may always VOTE independent in the General, but wouldn't you like to have a real vote during the Primaries also>?

***If not Hillary; please Vote for McCain, we know he's a loyal and patriotic American. NO-bama

Sure the Democrats can unite with what's left of their party. Those activists, myspace takeover artists, latté sippers and urbanites who are left can all get together.

What they will have to unite will be about 60% of the party. What they will talk about will probably be

    "This coffee good" activist

"Let me show you how we hacked this site using this simple perl script and a brute force attack" myspace takeover kid

"Do you know how they grow this $50 a cup coffee? Well a civet cat eats is and it's digestion........then it excretes it and we roast it and drink it" latté liberal

"Man you peeps is boring me" urbanite

Dean is dead wrong.. there will be no big love fest and uniting behind Obama... I for one will never vote for him... and may be a registered independent from now on. I am ashamed of the Democratic party.

probably about 80% of them will come back but their will be die hards on both sides that will not either vote for Obama or Hillary.

What the Dem's don't get is if Obama wins moderate & conservative Dem's will not vote for him.

No, no way . Only way of possibly united is a Clinton-Obama or Obama-Clinton ticket. Anything else is a sure loss for the democrats against McCain.
