What are some differences between an ethical violation and a legal issue?

    Ethical violations have no legal recourse (unless it is also illegal) A good example of this would be to cheat on your wife/husband. While not illegal it is considered by most to be unethical. Ethics are based on morality and what you feel is right or wrong and is personal rather than reaching towards others, laws on the other hand are set by other people to protect you and it doesn't really matter if you agree with them or not you will face consequences for not following them.
