I fill out and send out titles to customers. I follow up on titles for cars that have been traded in. I consult with the car auctions to make sure we get titles for cars that we bought. I also send in all titles to the state to get it registered in our name. on top of that, I deal with past customers who have lost their titles after I sent it to them. I make sure everything is done legally.

A title clerk will submit all documents to the state for transfer into a buyers name and legal owner name.
They will check all trade in titles.
They will submit documents to the state to acquire duplicate titles.
They will bill or refund customers the DMV fees.
All in all, they clean up the ''s**t paper'' from customers.
They will complete DMV transactions with wholesalers.
They are the dealerships 'watchdogs' to protect the business from breaking any state DMV laws such as smogs, verifications and out of state deliveries
The DMV clerk should go through training because she will be the one that will be asked alot of questions about different titles and procedures.
