Why don't people believe in revelation today?

I am LDS so I do

Pride. It blinds people into believing that all is well, and there isn't anything meaningful that they don't already know. Plus the Lord has a reputation for chastising people through prophets. Who wants to get chastised? That's how John the Baptist lost his head; the queen didn't like being critisized. People are just as prideful today. They don't want any emmissary from God telling them what to do.

If you are Roman Catholic, you most certainly do. It is called the Church's teaching magisterium over which the Pope is the head and Vicar of Christ on earth. It is through the Church that Catholics claim the Spirit of God continues to guide it into all truth and reveal his will until the end of time.

People are ignorant.They are also not well-versed in the scriptures, even those in ministry. But, mostly people are waiting for God to hit them w/ a revelation like a lightning bolt. Sometimes we must reach out in faith.

I believe that God speaks to people today. My daughter was near death in intensive care from a blood clot in her brain, from a head injury,

but God said to me what he was going to do and he kept talking to me for a month and God healed her without surgery, she didn't go into a coma and is fine today y ears later. I hd peace the whole time because he kept talking to me.

Everything God told me happened just as he said it would.

I'm sure there are more idiots believing in revelation today than ever before - because there's 6,300,000,000 people now - you're going to have a LOT of idiots!!!

He's speaking and loud. The fifth trumpet sounded when the oil wells where lit on fire during the first Gulf war. I heard it loud and clear. Beware of the spiritual mark of the beast and the New world Order. Satan's Secret Society and the secret transcendental meditation ceremony.

The Lord works in mysterious ways, and sometimes one of those ways is without people listening.

Oh, they still do, but now we call it confirmation bias instead of divine knowledge. We are much more familiar with the errors our brains can make if they aren't watched carefully, you see.

The same reason you don't believe in these scriptures.

"Slaves, obey your human masters with fear and trembling, in the sincerity of your heart, as to Christ." (Ephesians 6:5)

"Slaves, obey your human masters in everything; don't work only while being watched, in order to please men, but work wholeheartedly, fearing the Lord." (Colossians 3:22)

"Slaves are to be submissive to their masters in everything, and to be well-pleasing, not talking back ." (Titus 2:9)

"Slaves, submit yourselves to your masters with all respect, not only to the good and gentle but also to the cruel. " (1 Peter 2:18)

Or because he is make believe.
