Tell your mom this will hurt like hell, but it will work:pull forward and then bend it back to where it should be. Then elevate it, ice it, and tape it to the toe next to it. Take several ibuprofen for several days.

I don't have insurance either, so I feel your pain with that one :)

I've sprained/broken my pinky toe before (never got it checked out, so I really don't know WHAT I did with it), so ouch! it hurts.

Please do not try to pop it back in place! That could make it worse and without medical insurance, you can't afford anything worse.

Keep it elevated, and always make sure it has ice on it. I would suggest giving it maybe a 5-10 break every hour so her toe doesn't freeze.

Even if you DID go to the doctor, what are they going to do with it? You can't put a cast or ace bandage around it! I'm sure (not 100% positive, though) the most they will do is tell you to keep it iced, stay off of it, and take some Tylenol.

    Good luck :)

If it's sticking out at a funny angle is sounds badly broken or dislocated and she needs to see a doctor/hospital ER. Don't try to put it back in place yourself - you could damage the nerves. Once back in place there's little to be done - the doctors will probably either splint it or leave it be till it heals. But with it being at a funny angle, treatment at home is not a good idea. As long as she's not allergic, ibuprofen or asprin will help with the pain and swelling.

Why not take her to the Urgent care they will Xray and set it for her. Or ER at hospital Usually the small toe is taped to the toe next to it for support, that is how it will heal straight. There is not much the littlest toe does, but it helps support and stabilaize the foot. Do tke care of it. Best of Luck

Go to the hospital and they will help you but they can't put a cast on it you just have to live with it until it heals but they will give you painkillers.
