pre employment medical examination?
i have to take a pre employment medical examination. what does this mean? i have diabetes, does this mean that i will get denied for the job? the job offers full benefits at no cost to me.

They do this for several reasons...to ensure that an illness/condition cannot be blamed on the job experiences..for e.g. hearing loss, if you already have one, then working on the job cannot be blamed for your loss. They do want to know about pre-existing conditions, and to ensure you do not have any disabilities that would prevent you from doing the job (e.g. limitations on lifting heavy objects; vision problems if flying a jet; etc.). They should not deny you the job because of diabetes. Ask them, what it will mean. It will not harm you to ask! Good Luck!

I don't know the second part of your question. But for the most part, it's a DRUG SCREEN, as well as a physical to make sure you don't have any sever injuries, or illnesses that will make you unable to get through training, or conditions that might be exacerbated through training. I would ask a recruiter at the academy for more details.

No. Typically, they just want to know if you can physically do the job you're being hired to do.
