Older men marry younger women all the time, Why do not see the other way around?

My husband is 15 years younger than me and it's worked for 15 years. He's taught me so much like climbing, backpacking, snowboarding and surfing. He keeps me young! I didn't realize that marriage could be so much fun!

Depending on age spread between the two, I think men tend to think of older women more like a mother than a lover, if the age spread was something like 10 or more years. That's a turn-off.

Plus, usually the guy is looking for a younger, prettier woman - some women don't age well - so if she's much older than him, before long, she looks like his grandmother - and that's definitely not a turn on.

I've heard statistics prove a man lives longer married to a younger woman, but have never heard any statistics regarding the other way around... maybe not common enough to sample?

27 & 32 is nothing. It's only 5 years. My husband is 8 years younger than me. We have some problems, but they have nothig to do with age. I know one woman who has been dating a guy for 5 years who is 18 years younger. They get along great.

Older women like younger men because they have more energy and are more fun. Younger men make them feel young themselves. Younger men like older women because they are sexually experienced, wise, and seldom looking for an attachment.

It's becoming more common all the time.

Men are visuel if the woman don't look good she nothing for him. Older woman might work for a while but when her looks goes away so does the young guy. It's fact the male body don't age as fast as a females. Having kids does a job on her body.

Further the older man is looking for a wife not a mother.

It's becoming more and more prevalent.

Women of a certain age don't need a man for children, she already has her children.....and she makes her own money so she's financially secure.

She can now date younger men because they're fun and don't want to get too attached.

It can be the best of both worlds.

I'm trying my best to be an ignorant jerk here so here goes....it actually gives me a weird feeling in my stomach when I see a relationship in which the woman is like a mother to her mate. I see that all the time in Canada.

You know, here in the U.S. men like girly girls and women like to be girly girls if it includes respect ect.

That with the female of the species going into full rut at 35 and he at 15 it does seems like a catastrofic biological error lol.

If everything remained equal except age, all the women would want younger men and all the men would want younger women.

But things are not equal.

Older men have money and power and they want eye candy.

Older women also have money and power but they still want to be eye candy. Therein lies the conundrum.

Its has some to do with our genetic makeup. Same reason why most men like virgins, and most women don't. Husbands have similar responsibilities as fathers, provide and protect. Wives don't have and don't want similar responsibilities as mothers.

It is tradition but not a law. I do know some women who are older than their man.
