Obama's father was a Muslim, but he was raised (and remains) a Christian. I see no fault in which religion our next president is, as long as it isn't a cult like Scientology.
I like Muslims. I know many Muslims. I own a Qu'ran. It's a beautiful piece of writing from a wonderfully logical people.
Obama... isn't one of them.
Nothing broken.

From what I know, he is NOT a practicing Muslim. And if he were, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Islam is not a hate-filled, violent religion that breeds nothing but terrorists, unlike what Bush will have all of his sheep believe.
Obama's father was Muslim and as a child, he was raised in the religion for a short while. He also attended a Muslim school when his family lived in Malaysia... but almost all schools there are Muslim-based.
This country was based on the idea that one can choose to practice or not to practice any religion they wanted. So discounting Obama because you think he might be Muslim is completely against one of the principles this country is supposed to go by. Islam does NOT equal terrorists and an automatic threat to our security.

Quote from the Qur'an:
Surah 2:62
"Those who believe in the Qur'an,
And those who follow the Jewish Scriptures,
And the Christians and the Sabians,
And who believe in Allah
And the Last Day
And work righteousness
Shall have their reward"
So, there is nothing wrong with it and true Muslims are not anti-Christian! Nothing in the Qur'an refutes Christianity, so it is possible to be a Muslim and a Christian although many believe that to be taboo.

I could care what religion a man or woman is. He's smart, has class, is a family man, works hard. A person's religion is their own business. Why is this an issue? If he's a practicing Muslim, in secret, who cares! Maybe that will improve our standing in Africa and the Middle East and Asia.

Muslim, yes. He never renounced Islam and was schooled in Indonesian madrassas. He's certainly not a Christian.
What's wrong with that? The man has no morals or human decency, let alone the support from Christ that is absolutely necessary to successfully run a nation.

No he is not a practicing Muslim (he is non-practicing at this juncture), there is nothing wrong with being a Muslim, but being a dishonest, lying bigot is wrong.

No,
I don't get it, he was a Muslim, then a Christian, now a Muslim again.
Seems no conservative can get that story straight.
