Is it true that the GOP represents the tax payers and the Dems represent the tax consumers?

Actually, IMO, the GOP represents people who don't rely on the gov't and are in control of themselves and their surroundings. Hence, most people who live in the country are republicans. On the other side, the DNC represents people who rely on the gov't to fix their problems and have no control of their surroundings. Hence, most people who live in larger urban areas are democratic. Its like this, out in the country you can park where ever you want, but in the city if someone took your parking spot you have to call the police or someone else (gov't) to move them and get your parking spot back.

Everyone in America is a tax payer. In the U.S. there is no zero percent tax bracket. Even State Unemployment Insurance income is taxed. Tax money is consumed by the the operations of the government. Welfare expense to the federal government is usually in the low single digit percents each year. If the GOP was for the tax payer, they would not have increased the size and cost of the federal government during the six years they controlled both Congress and the White House.

First, I will submit that the biggest tax consumers are the giant war profiteers who are given cost plus, no bid contracts in Iraq and are not held accountable for the completion of those contracts.
Corporate welfare, and big oil, and the military industrial complex are fleecing America. 4 Trillion dollars have been misspent, misused, and misappropriated in Iraq.
But you're wanting to slander Democrats, so lets really take a look at what you're trying to imply - and why you fail.
Under the Bush Administration, unprecedented tax cuts have been awarded to the upper 2% of Americans, or millionaires, thus SHIFTING the tax burden to the backs of the hard working middle class.
Thats not to say that millionaires aren't paying taxes. Certainly, everyone is. But it is the 98% who are carrying the biggest load in paying taxes.
Imagine a giant crate - the kind you see piled on top of ocean freighters carrying cargo. Now imagine that each crate represents a tax. In this country, for the sake of this argument, a semi truck represents an individual millionaire tax payer, while a pick up truck represents an individual middle income earner. The load is technically the same, but is obviously harder on the pick up.
Ahhh yes...the tax burden is greatest on those in the middle income bracket - earning less than $200,000 per year. The gap between personal income and what we need to spend to maintain our individual standards of living is ever shrinking under the Bush policies; so the less you make under $200k, the harder it is to carry the load.
To make matters worse, the American dollar has grown significantly weaker under Bush. The dollar just isn't worth what it once was and so we can't stretch it as far as we once could.
During war time, it is unprecedented to put the bulk of tax burdens on the middle class as we are now. During other major wars in American history, the wealthiest have been tasked to sacrifice larger percentages of their income for the betterment of America, especially when it is the wealthiest who are least likely to sacrifice bodies. Now, they are given a free tax ride and so the middle class sacrifices bodies (soldiers), and incomes.
There is no arguing your point. It is mute.

Half right, Dems back those on welfare, which is the biggest problem in this country right now. It is more profitable for someone to sit home and watch Jerry Springer (so they can laugh at other knuckleheads) and collect a check than it is to go get a job. And thats the way the Dems like it, after all, who would you vote for if you were in that situation?? The person who is going to work to get you more money to do nothing all day, or the person who will look into cleaning up the system?? Its a way to secure votes for the Dems, think about it, keep a whole class of people down, and dependent, and count them votes......

No: Both represent big business, as for the millions received by Bill Clinton from IBM, Microsoft, Exxon, etc for padded "speaking engagements". Both parties have the same bosses and represent their interests.
The public gets to choose the manner and degree of how we will pay the bill. The Republicans prefer the bill to be paid for by a strong and vital economy ( in theory ).
And the Democrats prefer to pay the bill by the more honest method of just sending it to the employed taxpayer as a huge tax.

The 70 to 1 Lobbyists in Washington represent the GOP and themselves while the Democrats want to represent the people who are tax payers

It's true that reepers run the biggest federal deficits and funnel that money to their donors.
The richest, most powerful self-made individuals support Obama. W. Virginia supports McCain, in spite of Cheney's remark re their inbreeding habits.

That's nonsense. As I recall, a lot of those bailed out in the Savings & Loan scandals were Republicans. And ALL tax payers paid for it.

I think that is a very succinct explanation. And I am a Democrat who has become more and more disillusioned with my party over the last two (and now this one) presidential elections. (And, don't get me started on Nancy Pelosi. SHAME, California!)
