Who thinks this?

"the vast numbers of people on yahoo answers who think people can do whatever they want to our planet with no consequence"

That is part of an answer to this question http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Avc5k...

And I notice that it is a fairly prevalent opinion among "AGWers": that anyone who doubts the "consensus" must hate the environment and believe that nothing we do harms the environment.

I know that this isn't true for me, but I was wondering how many of you "doubters" think this way?

Update:

Dana,

I'm glad you can speak for all of us.

    I do not,

I use the efficient light bulbs, drive a fairly fuel efficient car. I will car pool when I do not have to work 10+ hour days. (No-one wants to wait for me).

I am skeptical because, I believe to the scientists the end justifies the means. If the stretch to create emotion instead of science, and we are cleaner and more energy efficient then it is OK to them.

I believe we need to be environmentally friendly, just do not make up or stretch crap to try and make me. They still do not know if we can effect it 1 degC or 10 degC.

I am a doubter who loves to ride bike with my family, we are more into outdoor activities that requires no use of fossil fuels. We recycle, we are utilize energy efficient appliances and light bulbs. We own fuel efficient vehicles and have always recycled. We both encourage our children and others to be good stewards of the environment. I spend time teaching my children and want them to have a good education. We live in a rural area and are by no means financially rich, however we are rich in faith hope and love.

The AGWers are full of hate for anyone who criticizes them. There are religious groups in the world like this. Political junkets in the world like this. These AGW eco-terrorists are causing more harm than good. Badly misled, they flail like trapped animals at anything that disturbs them.

What hurts them more is seeing their 'arguements' unravel after they've put so much effort into their errors. What leftist movement will they join next since this one is falling apart?

Not that extreme, but generally speaking a person who doubts the AGW theory despite the tremendous amount of scientific evidence supporting it probably has a certain agenda. Part of that agenda may very well be preserving a wasteful and environmentally damaging lifestyle.

I can't get into the minds of AGW 'skeptics' and honestly have a hard time trying to figure out what the heck goes on in there, so I can't necessarily agree with the statement. But I suspect it's not too far off base.

It's obvious hyperbole. Used to get this from my ex-wife. She'd insist that something that had happened when I wasn't even home was my fault, I'd explain that I wasn't even home when it happened, and she'd yell "oh, nothing's ever your fault, is it!?"

It's our fault because they say it is, because they want it to be our fault, and in their minds we're greedy for pointing out that it isn't our fault.

There's no reasoning with them just like there's no reasoning with my ex-wife.
