What beautiful church songs do you like that DON'T mention Jesus or the Holy Ghost?

I am a church music director and I think I understand what you are looking for. There are probably hundreds of hymns that could be interpreted like this. It would be hard for me to list a bunch of them, because without listing all of the information like the composer, lyricist, publisher, hymnal you'd be hard pressed to locate them.

My suggestion to you is to go to your church, or any church, and start browsing through the hymnals. I know it sounds like a big job, but I do it every week for my services, trying to match up the music with the theme of the service. Most hymnals have an index that lists the music base on the theme. That is a good place to start, since you can eliminate a lot of the songs this way.

I love your question and your enthusiasm. I don't really have an answer although I agree with a lot of what has already been said. I loved that answer that said there are only 6 pages in the whole book of Mormon that do not have reference to God on it. Wow. That's amazing. Maybe that is why I feel the Spirit so strongly when I read the Book of Mormon... it helps us so much to "always remember Him"... "the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world". (John 1:9) ♥

God songs are to be in church for worship, with out any sense in them sure wouldn't be in church. Music about God is nice and so pleasant when is for worship.
