What is music?

What is it to you? I love music, so unless you're a music lover, you should probably just move on to your next question. (just to be fair to you)

Music is inspiration. It's away to let out your feelings and tell everyone what you think through words and sound. Singing is so much more emotional than just talking. Music can make a crowed sway, and change a persons mind. Music can raise awareness of big issues in the world today. Music can save a life. Music is so many things it's hard to name them all... and even harder to name as little as possible.

To put it simply music is anything you want it to be.

Sounds put together in some way, I guess. But the imporatant thing about music is the way a person interprets it and thinks of it. It's all relative... maybe.

For me, I don't listen to that much music, but I listen to songs that hold some memories of associations. Memories of, perhaps, the show it was on, or the year/month/period of time I heard it and how things were that month.

Media that I can relate to is also sort of appealing. If music has the right lyrics I might like it more.

Music is mood from a speaker to me! Man it can make you happy, sad, angry, and everything in between depending on the music at the time. I love music as well! Music = Mood! Anyone who says music doesn't effect their mood is probably lying.

Music is a form of a simple pleasure entertainment that can bring satisfaction to ones soul regardless of what that situation may be. It might not be deemed as comforting when one goes through a bad time in their life and hears a sad song, but if we will listen closely, words of a melancholy song can bring a message and healing to the soul.

For me, music is the expression of beauty contained in nature, which we absorb, assimilate and depend upon, for our own expression. I have read somewhere that the first music in this earth was created from the twittering of the birds, the sound of waterfalls, the sound of wind blowing across the river through densely grown trees, the sound of echo in mountains and the sound of silence underneath a dark sky full of stars. It is essentially an intraction of self with the nature that music is all about. A person that finds himself among the wonders of nature, its many varities and rarities, feels an urge to communicate and resiprocate with earnest happiness. In doing so, he finds music as the best possible means. Again, in exploring his innerself, abilities and potentials. for probing deep into his mind and soul, he also finds music as his best companion. That is how I perceive music, an expression of joy, a companion in my quest, my hide out in grief and depression. The seven colours of light forms the brilliant rainbow which inspires my vision, likewise, the seven notes of music permutes and combines into endless forms of mood, passion and feeling, inspiring composure, richness and eternal quest for my existence.
